INMARSAT GSPS ISATPHONE PRO PREPAID
Available from From 1st May 2013 tailored exclusively for the domestic North American market.
The Geographical North American Plans will become available from May 1, 2013, at the start of the hurricane season. They are applicable to IsatPhone Pro only.
The minutes allowance can only be used for calls originating within the North American region, which is defined as mainland United States, including Alaska, Canada and the 12 nautical miles zone, but not Hawaii. Calls originating outside the geographic region will be charged at a premium
SMS
An SMS is up to 160 characters in size as defined by the GSM Association. For messages that contain more than 160 characters, an additional SMS will have to be generated manually
for the excess characters and sent separately.
If an SMS is sent to more than one recipient, then there will be a separate CDR and charge for each recipient that this SMS is sent to.
SMS charging will be on the basis of submission of each message to and not on successful delivery to the recipient.
There will be no charge to receive an SMS on a GSPS terminal.
EMERGENCY CALLING
Within the United States, GSPS will support emergency 911 calls to meet regulatory requirements. 911 calls within the US will be routed to a call centre and then based on user-provided information as to their location; the call will then be forwarded to the appropriate Public Safety Agency.
All of these calls will be free of charge. Prepay users will not be required to have units on their account in order to make an emergency call.
Outside the US, all emergency calls (911, 999, 112 etc) are not supported. Any emergency calls will be routed to an automatic message advising the user that emergency calling is
not supported.

Questo servizio è in grado di assicurare voce e dati a bassa velocità a 2,5 Kbps (comprimibile fino a 20K)
