Iridium OpenPort- Why are the interface light all Red?

When powering the OpenPort all of the interface lights are displayed. Also in the web interface you notice that under the heading "SIM" that "Installed" displays "NO" The reason for this is that the SIM slider hasn't been pushed accross after inserting the SIM card. If you move the SIM slider accross and reboot the unit the Red light will return to Green
