The “Sierra” equipment is an AERO satellite communication system for access to the Thuraya
and/or Iridium Satellite Networks on a single or multiple simultaneous channels.
A GSM option can be added as complementary third telecom channel.
It consists into a transceiver with an aero antenna.
It provides the following services:

For Iridium network:

Full duplex, global voice communication at 2.4 Kbps
Circuit data services up to 9.6 Kbps
G1 fax service up to 2.4 Kbps
