BGAN M2M Inmarsat Service Plans
No-Overhead Costs - Pay Only For The Meaningful Data Transferred
Launched in February of 2012, the BGAN M2M service is designed for low-bandwidth remote communication with amazingly low communication costs of under 3 cents per Kilobyte transferred. Using the Hughes 9502 M2M BGAN Terminal, now any remote valve, pump, ATM, traffic light, credit card terminal, or any other device can be monitored, controlled, or operated anywhere on the globe with one low monthly service fee.
BGAN M2M Service Features
- BGAN M2M does not charge for network overhead communication
- Cost per Kilobyte transferred is about $0.02 cents (USD)
- Minimum billing increment is 1 Kilobyte (and not 50 Kilobytes as with standard BGAN service)
- Global service area with service plan prices that are the same for any installation location
- High-speed data capable with up to 464 Kbps upload speeds
- Teleport firewall whitelist that will stop all unwanted traffic from entering the satellite link
- Designed for a wide range of SCADA and M2M solutions
- Fully TCP-IP routable with any IP address over the Internet
- Realtime communication with latency (ping time) at roughly 1200 milliseconds
- Global (Static) IP addresses available
